If you need traffic for your organization’s website, Google AdWords is a great way to get started.
Now Google is sweetening the deal for 501(c)(3) non-profits with Google Grants, which “supports organizations sharing [Google's] philosophy of community service to help the world in areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts.”
Each organization awarded a Google Grant receives at least three months of in-kind advertising.

This is real CSR! This is state-of-the-art CSR!
Congrats to Google.
Yeah, I wish more companies would act like this. We should all take a page from Paul Newman: http://www.newmansown.com/
Yeah, Google Grants has been a huge asset to our ministry. We’ve seen traffic more than double because of AdWords.
It’s also worth noting that Google Grants accounts don’t really end after 3 months. Yes, they do say that it’s guaranteed for that long, but during our Grants setup our contact assurred us it pretty much lasts as long as you use it. She didn’t know of one Google Grant account that had been turned off. We’ve had ours for about 4 months now. Thanks Google!
That’s great - Thanks for sharing your experience Dave.
The Google Grants programme is now available in many countries including the US, UK and Australia.
Baptcare, an Australian nonprofit, doubled its website visits after being awarded a Google Grant. We’re very happy, it’s an excellent service, the single best promotional tool we’ve tried.
Volunteers from Google help to tweak the ad campaign and that really helped us, in the first couple of weeks, to figure out what makes an ad work.
