One of the things that we wanted to accomplish with Donor Tools was to provide workflows that help you get closer to your donors while still working efficiently. So we’ve made it really easy to enter a lot of donations very quickly while still giving each donor individual attention. The process goes something like this:
1. Search for a donor.
If only one donor matches your search, Donor Tools will jump right to their record. Otherwise, you can choose the donor from the list.
2. Enter the donation details.
If the donor has a donation history, Donor Tools will try to guess this new donation’s information, including the amount, the fund, and the payment method.

3. Click save.
That’s it - now take a quick look at the donor’s record, update any necessary information, print a receipt, or move on to the next donation.

Yes, you’ll be able to import donors from a CSV (comma separated values) file - it’s actually a very easy process that you can do yourself.
We’ll also offer a service for more advanced data import. For example we can help you import all your donors plus all their donation records.
Hey Ryan,
Any chance there will be a way to track who has fell behind on their committed giving? One thing all missionaries struggle with is being aware when people have missed a monthly donation. Other than seeing how much money has come in in a given month the next important thing for a missionary is making sure all the people that have said they would make a donation each month, actually have.
The benefit of this is being able to see that someone missed a donation in a recent month and being able to connect with them instantly before too much time has gone by.
Hi Dave,
It sounds like you might be able to track this information using pledges - a donor makes a pledge to donate so much per month, and then you record donations as payments to the pledge. Does that sound about right?
We’re planning to introduce a pledge tracking feature, though unfortunately I can’t give you a timeframe of when it might be ready. Pledges are pretty high on our list though.
