Today we’re introducing a feature that we’ve been working on in the background for a long time. We call it Single Sign-in. Single Sign-in is a complete revamp of our user account authorization system. Here’s what’s new:
Only one sign-in screen
We’ve done away with the separate sign-in screen for donors. Donors can still sign in to view their donation records with your organization, but the sign-in screen looks the same whether you’re signing in as a donor or as an administrator. After you sign in, the system knows who you are and will take you to the right place.
Your email address is your username
Now, instead of having a separate username and email address, you just use your email address to sign in.
My Donor Tools: All your Donor Tools accounts in one place
If you have multiple Donor Tools accounts (as many of our consultants and accountants do), you can now go between all your Donor Tools accounts without having to sign in to each one. Simply go to My Donor Tools and sign in there. You’ll see a list of all the organizations that you have access to.
Sign in from our homepage
If you ever forget your Donor Tools web address, just go to www.donortools.com and click “Sign In” in the menu bar. Just sign in with your username and password, and you’ll be redirected to the organization(s) that you have access to.
Who’s this for?
If you only use one Donor Tools account, you’ll probably never notice a difference. But if you’re like many of our consultants and accountants, you’re going to love this feature. Single Sign-in is designed for people who maintain multiple Donor Tools accounts; people such as consultants and accountants, who need to quickly switch back and forth between multiple accounts.
