We’ve had thank-you emails for a long time, but now they’re even better. Now you can save an email as draft, without actually sending it.
This lets you:
- Preview the email before it’s delivered.
- Record the fact that you acknowledged the donation via email from outside of Donor Tools.
Find the donation you’d like to acknowledge
First, find the donation that you’d like to acknowledge. Then click “Send email” next to the donation.
Write your email. We highly recommend using mail merge fields (1) instead of typing the details of the email (name, donation amount, etc.) by hand.

When you’re done, click the “Save Draft” button (2).
Next, a preview of your email will be displayed.
When you’re ready to send it, simply click “Send Now”, and off it goes.
